We understand that the process has become increasingly competitive and complex, and it is our role as counselors to help families navigate the sometimes perplexing college admission landscape.
Our counseling team consists of two full-time counselors and the Director. While we do not begin working one-on-one with 学生 until their junior year, we engage with our ninth and tenth graders in different 道路s, and 学生 是 al道路s welcome to come to our office should they have any questions.

A Student-Centered Approach
Our goal is to help 学生 reach a greater aw是ness of who they 是, so that they can find colleges that 是 good matches for them. Students will continue to build upon the valuable “soft skills” developed at New Hampton: decision making, 解决问题, 维护自己的权利, 自我反省, 和弹性. The 大学咨询 Office provides supportive, individualized counseling that is student-centered.

College Athletic Recruitment Process
Each college counselor helps guide student-athletes during the college-recruiting process starting as early as the 9th grade and is available to assist 学生 and coaches with the following:
- Explaining recruiting protocols to maximize exposure and communication with college coaches
- Discussing and assembling a college list based on the student’s academic and athletic interests
- Completing recruiting questionnaires
- Assisting committed athletes with communication of academic schedules and expectations in the admission process
- Guiding student-athletes through the NCAA Eligibility Center registration process
